About Online Animal Transport Permit
The Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle (Transportation of Cattle) Rules 2021 has been issued by the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
According to the rules, the Vehicle owners are required to obtain a permit from the online website https://animaltrans.karahvs.in for transporting cattle in a vehicle from one place to another according to the law.
This system has been developed so that the owners of cattle transport vehicles can obtain the permit required for the transportation of cattle under the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle (Transportation of Cattle) Rules 2021 from their place with the help of online web technology.
Procedure for application by Cattle transporters:-
1. Applicants should select "Animal Transport Permit" to apply for Cattle Transport Permit at https://animaltrans.karahvs.in website (keep ready while applying, any identity card with photograph of cattle, photos of cattle, Ear Tag number of cattle, RC & photo of vehicle used for transportation)
2. Enter the mobile number of the applicant, enter the OTP, the purpose of transport, the details of the transport vehicle, the details of the cattle owner, the details of the cattle, the route of transport, the place of destination and the name and address of the person should be mentioned in the application. (At the time of application, if your vehicle number is not in the selection list, add one-time vehicle details, RC copy and vehicle photo).
3. No fee is admissible if the destination of the transport vehicle is less than 15 km. If it is more than 15KM then Rs 25.00 for light commercial vehicle and Rs 50.00 for Heavy commercial vehicle and applicable GST should be paid through online. (Payment can be made through Any UPI, Credit, Debit Card, net banking).
4. After payment of the fee, the name and mobile number details of the veterinary officer of the assigned area where the cattle are located will be sent to the mobile number of the applicant and a message will also be sent to the mobile number of the veterinary officer of the area.
5. The Veterinary Officers of the area where the cattle are located will inspect the cattle and give permission or reject for movement.
6. The approved permit to transport will be immediately sent via SMS to the applicant's mobile number.
7. The approved permit received in the mobile SMS message can be downloaded and can also be printed.
8. If the application is rejected by the veterinary officer giving reasons, the applicant can correct the application and re-apply. Even in case of rejection, a message will be sent to the mobile number of the applicant.
To know the status of submitted application:
1. Applicants should select "Track Your Application and Download Permit" on https://animaltrans.karahvs.in website to know the status of their submitted application.
2. Enter the mobile number used by the applicant while applying, OTP should be entered. Then the dashboard will open. And there will be three options namely Applications Submitted, Permits Approved, Applications Rejected.
3. If the application is approved then the download permit option is provided. If the application is rejected, there is an opportunity to resubmit the application after knowing the reason for rejection.
Procedure for Permit Verification by Officials and view for Public:
Officials / public have to select to view permit on https://animaltrans.karahvs.in website, find and select vehicle number. The details of the permit in the said vehicle can be known whether the license is there at that time or not. Selecting View permit opens the license details.
